Hello everyone, I found a Bumble Bee snail in my new 28 gallon tank and was wondering, are the reef safe? Its in a cut of saltwater right now.

It prefers an aquarium with live rock so that it can graze on uneaten meaty foods and detritus. It is also a sand sifter so prefers an aquarium with a deep sand bed in which to forage. It requires high water quality and is sensitive to high levels of copper-based medications I have never heard of it being a problem in a reef tank

I have 3, started with 5, and the tank has been up since Sept. of '05. They have never gone off of the rocks, or sand. Never on the coral. I say it is safe. But, I don't have any SPS corals...... just softies, LPS coral, and RBTA and feather dusters.
They are meat eaters, so detritus, and uneaten food is there cup of tea.

I like them too and was thinking about getting them but was told that there are reports of them going for polyps, usually zoos.
