Its always a possability. Same thing with angels. I think if you keep it well fed it shouldnt pick at corals. I also plan on keeping a copperband in a reef.

It is always a possibility, but mine has been a good citizen, as far as coral. It did however, wipe out my feather dusters, which I was aware of prior to purchase. My 2 aiptasia are still in the tank!!! Go figure.

Be certain that he does eat prepared foods before you buy him. Wouldn't it be easier to set up a qt and remove your trigger while a shrimp eats your aiptasia? By the time that the trigger goes back in he will be focussed on the tank and not the shrimp.

Never thought of that, but there are some very large ones in there.
What are the largest ones a pep can handle?

How big are yours? Are they THAT big that you don't think a shrimp can do the job? I would seriously try the shrimp first. He is small, will be able to live without the Aiptasia to feed off of (once it is gone), and once the trigger is out of the tank for a little while he will not even notice the shrimp when he comes back. If you move a few pieces of rock it will throw him off more when he comes back in. Your shrimp will also attack them as they grow back before they get a chance to get big.
