buying fish online?

Iam going to buy some fish,never have bought fish online before .I was wondering if anyone has had good or bad experiences buying online .or should i just stick to my lfs.Prices are alot cheaper online.

It is cheaper 'till you factor in the shipping, surcharges, handling charges, etc. In my location there is poor selection from the LFS, so that makes online ordering a plus.

Dear hobbyist ,shopping on line is the way to go , simply because you have a larger selection to choose from. Also, the prices are cheaper . Some on line stores even give you a 7 to 14 day guarantee just in case the fish dies .

yeah this site is good. I have three orders thus far. SWF.com has 15 day gurantee, almost no LFS have any official gurrantee. ALso $20 they charge for packing ect is very reasonable the box they use to ship in is nearlt $15 alone online if ordered in bulk. they use heat packs in cold weather. I have recieve 1 doa out of many creatures, and was refunded as soon as I followed the return process. Also for inverts SWF.com beats out any local LFS here, ( I know in different areas different Price gougin goes on though). and for repeat orders they let you pick from a list of really cool stuff. )
( sounds like a Plug, but got sick of the BS some LFS pull and this page really steps up to meet the customers needs, even in the event something goes wrong)

Highly recommend this site! Everything (except a couple of crabs) arrived alive, and is still alive about a month after so they predominantly only sell healthy fish. Great website!
