Ca Supplements

What brand of Calcium supplements do you guys use? I'm heading up to the LFS tomorrow morning to pick some up and I wanted a psuedo opinion poll.

I drip kalk in the form of Ball's pickling lime. Same as Ms. Wages, just a different brand.

I drip kalk also (mrs. wages pickling lime). It does a fantastic job of keep alk, pH and Ca in the correct levels, the coralline will explode in your tank after dripping kalk.

What equipment do you guys use to dose your kalk? I saw dosing pumps online for about 300.00 and I saw a Kent Marine "Aqua Dose" for 19.00, which is much more my speed.
Can the Kent Aqua Dose (for those who have it) go under the tank or does it need to be above... I would assume above since there is no actual electronic pump.
I've read the good things about dosing kalk but I never thought I'd need to do somthing as "sophisticated" as that! Looks like now I need to consider it because my Calcium and Alk specifically are all out of wack.
Thanks for all the help so far, I'm going to pick up a Calcium supplement today just to get my levels correct while I work out this whole dosing thing.

I don't have a sump not enough room under my tank
I know I really should have one.... sigh.
So I guess it will have to sit on top of my hood? That isn't very attractive

Ball's pickeling lime here... I use a 20g top off bucket with a float valve and power head.

I think I will prob go that route (it seems like the simple solution and I'm a big fan of K.I.S.S). Unless I can figure out ReefNut's setup.
Reefnut do you have a diagram of your dosing setup? I'm having a hard time picturing that. Does the float valve regulate the drip rate? I'm assuming that the powerhead pushes the water up to the tank?

I do now . The float valve sits in the sump... The power head in the top off bucket. The float valve controls the on/off of the power head which pumps the water to the sump. I put a valve in the end of the line to create a drip in-case the float valve fails.
I mix the limewater right in the top-off bucket and clean it once a week... there is a cup holding the powerhead up so it doesn't pickup any sediment.

I should mention, this is hard on the powerhead. Last week a propeller broke so I had to replace it.

I've used B-ionic two part suppliments, Turbo clac, Super Buffer, and now I drip Kalk, but still add mainanence doses of the B ionic.

That's a cool setup, unfortunately I don't think it is right for my needs and the space constrictions under my tank (i really wish I had gotten a different stand). My next tank (which will be a 200-300 gallon depending on how much I can woo my wife) will definately have something like that though
I will prob go with the Kent and use the gravity drip method (next paycheck) for now.
