Cabbage Leather with a hitchhiker

I picked up a cabbage leather today. Oddly enough it has some sort of bright orange stuff on part of the rock in a clump. Funny enough it reminds me of a thick coating of Cheetos cheese

I did some research on this cabbage. They say "low" water flow then right after say "moderate to high" movement is a good placement for it... can anyone clarify?

Leathers Shed...therefore they need enough flow so when they shed their "skin" comes off easily...BUT...they do not like to be blown over....
I have mine where the powerhead kinda blows by it...not on it

Cabbage leather coral (Sinularia dura) should have medium to high lighting combined with moderate to strong water movement. Leathers tend to shed and the water movement is required to carry this away. Also know that they are very aggressive and will release mucos and toxins that may be detrimental to other coral. You would do best to place this coral down flow from other things so that the mucos and shedding are close to the entrance to your filtering devices.

I am keeping this guy in my "lets see how you do" tank which is a Cube that has a koralia #1 in it and has a sump plumbed into it. The sumps waterflow I'd say is light... Though it can move the sand. The koralia however easily moves the sand and everything else in the tank at a slow steady pace. Would this suffice? The lighting overtop is a 100 watt 6500k, a 40 watt Actinic and a 40 watt 10k. The Cabbage will be only about 4 inches under the water on a shelf.
I also use reef crystals to offer better Calcium to my tank, as well as when needed use Reef Code A and B.

Heres the best pic I could get. Also it has these little white tendril things sticking out around the base of the cabbage? what might that be? also seems to have feather duster like things on the bare rock

I just saw the most awesome thing
My peppermint shrimp was cleaning my coral and I was worried cause there was an aptasia growing right next to one of the heads. Well the shrimp was feeling around and touches it. Within a flash it has the aptasia ripped off the rock and eating it! woo!
