calcium and kh issues

having a little bit of an issue with Calcium and kh. My calcium is now testing well over 500 and before it was a steady 400. The dkh on the kh test is coming out at 15. The pH was also holding steady at 8.2 before and now is at 7.7 and 8.0. I had a huge phosphate problem and fixed that. Any tips on how to correct this?
I am thinking of getting a new Calcium test and seeing if it is the test kit that is bad. My live rock is growing coralline just fine. I haven't been able to find a magnesium test locally and am going to order one of those.
sg 1.025
trate 0
trite 0
ammonia 0
calcium 500+ (past what it tells you in the test kit)
dkh 15
ph 7.7 and 8.0 (depending on time of day)

I would verify your test results with another kit and test the magnesium, but other than that I don't see much to be concerned about. Your Ph is a little low but as long as it is stable its fine. The calcium and Alk will fall on there own as you do water changes and it is consumed by your inverts and coraline. I would also do the mason jar test and make sure the low Ph isn't being caused by excess CO2 in the water.

Google CHEMISTRY AND THE AQUARIUM by RANDY HOLMES-FARLEY click the second link. This article should be required reading for anybody that has a tank. Very easy to understand and follow.

I do water changes every 3 weeks and test the water often.
I'm going to try another test kit and try to get a magnesium test, as well.
I'll also try the mason jar test for the CO2.
Thanks!
