Here it goes:
PH: 8.0 lights weren't on long
Alk: 3.5 meq/l The old test kit was bad. This was tested with two different methods and I got the same results.
Ammonia:0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 5
Phosphate: 0.1
Silicate: 0
Magnesium: 1250
Calcium: ? I don't trust the kit. The reagent is crystallized and hard as a rock. The container says to keep it closed tightly. I ran the test and it says the calcium is plus 500. I don't know.
The reason for the huge differences in readings is my testing methods. I rushed through the other tests I did when the kits came. I did not measure accurately or missed the part where it said to wait.

Ca and alk look fine. You might need to bring magnesium up to 1400ppm if you can. That will help stabilize calcium and alkalinity some.
