My tank (80gal) is about 3 months old and I'm starting to get some coraline growth. :joy: My calcium level tested out right at 400 mg/l. I think thats a little low, right ???? What levels to you reccommend for good algae/invert growth. Also, what calcium supplements should I buy/avoid (I would like to avoid setting up a kalkwasser drip). Thanks

I keep mine between 450 and 500. I just use a small amount of Kalw. when it gets to about 400 or lower. Don't use much tho.

Calcium should be between 380 to 450. 420 is best. If you keep your calcium too high, you risk a battle between the alk and the calcuim and the ph. If one is too high it pulls the others down.
