What is reccomended for calcium levels? I have no corals or anything just want to promote growth of my coraline. Also what brands or type of CA suppliments should I use?
Thanks,
Kyle

The recommended level of calcium is between 400-500ppm, The only calcium additive I have ever used is turbo calcium and then I drip Kalk to keep the level where it needs to be. I do believe there are some easier ways if you have a FOWLR, Kent's liquid calcium, and the two part additive's. Be sure you look at your pH level and your alk, they are related to calcium.

IMO don't dose calcium if Coralline is your only consumer. Water changes will provide plenty. Anything above 350 is adequate for coralline and you should be able to maintain 380 - 400 just by doing regular water changes.

I agree with Bang Guy. If coraline is your only concern make sure your Ca levels are above 350. Keep a Ca supplement on hand just in case WC's do not do the trick... that way you can at least add back whatever happens to be missing. But reg WC's should keep it at the needed levels.
