I haven't purchased one yet, but I'm leaning towards the Korallin reactor myself. As far as clams go, I have 2 and several hard corals. So far I have had great success with the calcium drip.

If the only calcium consuming critters in the tank are the 3 clams then you should be ok with kalk. If you have corals along with clams then I'd get a reactor.
