Be prepared to lay down some serious cash. First make sure you are going to really need one. Do you know what your load is and does it require one based on the levels you are dosing to keep up. I have a Korallin it's okay but I think it is hard to adjust. However, I think they all would be. I have had it since 1-06. Got a pH controller and the pH lid for it. It was about $800 (something) with everything. The kit was $611 for the 1502 but with the other items controller, aqualifter, lid. You can do a lot of dosing with Mrs. Wages pickling lime at $3.00 a jar before you get up to the cost of a CA reactor.

my 220g is on the way and I really think a CA reactor would be a lot better than dosing. Anyway that's my thought but if any one have any different thought please help out.

If it is going to be mostly SPS it would probably be best to get a reactor, otherwise I would wait and see if it becomes necessary.

thanks travis. I was thinking of the same but I really sure that i'm going with lots of sps and afraid it would be the pain to get it install later.

Ive heard Geo is very good and reasonably priced and its what I plan on getting when I upgrade my 65 to something larger. For now, I just dose 2-part solution.

keep in mind there is no real need for a CA Reactor unless you have a dedicated SPS tank...just dose some 2 part once in a while

i run a reeftek ca reactor i love it i was able to customize it how i wanted it the customer support is exceptional and the price is great i got there package deals and was able to get a bigger reactor for the same price as a smaller reactor. i run a sps dominate tank and my corals grow like crazy. i would also maybe like to look into a neilson reactor for kalk but that is another thread
