Calcium Supplements for Reefs

Hello, recently I have been in the process of slowly turning my fish only tank (established about a year ago) into a reef type set-up. I have been advised by many to make sure that I keep calcium levels up to make sure corals stay healthy. I have also been told that WM Research's Calxmax is a good calcium/alkalinity buffer. Does anyone have any experience with this product, or possibly have another product to recommend that is a calcium booster?

Well, there are a lot of products out there...I use either KENT Calcium, or Kent Turbo Calcium, also you could drip Kalkwasser...
I would also suggest to you that you add (in the beginning)other reef supplements such as Iodine, Essential Elements, and Strontium and Molybdenum..
Be careful in chosing products that might have "extra's" like silica and so on..
Gl, you'll have lots of fun, and amazement watching your reef grow..

I like the 2 part supplements such as Kents Tech CB and Two Little Fishies C-Balance.

I use salivert coral calcium. I used Kent at first and was told by a reefer to try the salivert. The salivert was over 5 times more concentrated. Kent is so overpriced for whay you get. I do like the Kent salt though. I do weekly water changes and dose nothing but calcium. The frequent water changes keep up all trace elements. Over dosing iodine can cause algae blooms, so becareful with all the additives. Most aren't needed. The silivert is as concentrated as you can possibly get. Reef complete is also a super concentrated calcium and very cheap online.
