Calcium - WOWSERS over 500

So i bought a new Calcium test kit as i thought my old salfeit one was too old..
SO i got a API ..
I test my tank when i got it and it was over 500 i thought what the #$@#$
SO i waited till i did a water change.. Tested my levels of my salt water.. it was about 440 i would say..
So after i mixed my new water to my tank.. i tested again ..
Well this time i got about 34 or was it 35 drops .. till it turned BLUE
26 drops is 500..
What is up with my calcium levels..
I have some Candy cane coral and they are doing great.. they are growing.. my other coral soft are doing ok..
Fish doing great.
Any help on this

Sounds to me like you should go back to Salifert.
