I would like to know if I can add Calcium to my 5 gallon water top off jug...Do you think this is ok. I use about 5 gallons of water a week. I have an auto top system so it will add the water slow .Thanks for all your help.

Wont do much good unless the water is buffered. Needs a dKH of it least 8-12 in order to hold any calcium in solution. Other than that, a good way to add it.

I think you got that backwards Grog ;)
It's fine to use topoff water to dose Calcium. What I think the Grog meant was that you must also maintain Alkalinity in your display tank so be sure to test for Alkalinity and Calcium.
I'd shy away from dosing both Calcium and Alkalinity using topoff unless they are seperate containers or you're using limewater.
