No offense to anyone, but I happen to have noticed that everyone over the age of 12 and under the age of 20 cannot spell or punctuate. Why?
I just thought if it because turtlegirl's post is perfectly written. Keep it up, turtlegirl.

first off, its not perfectly written (no offense turtlegirl), and should it matter? its a message board, not a book. im sure if we were writing letters to our bosses or something we'd all be a lot more careful.

I know, but still, it certainly is nice when people care about it...

I think what Clown Boy is referring to is taking the very miniscule amount of time it takes to write decently.
I'm 44 and I still make the effort to write everything in a manner that is as proper english as I can. Message board or not. It's just good grammar.
I may be out of line on this thread, but I attended the same public education system that should still be going on today. And If grammar is anything like math...I forgot a crap-load of it over the last 30 years. But I still make the effort.
All the youg-uns can commence to flaming me now.

I dont mind bad puncuation too much, just as long as I can understand what they are saying without having to struggle. Reading shouldnt be a chore, but thats what it is often when I am on message boards.
OH, and I cant stand when people dont capitalize their I's though, lol, it just bothers me for some reason.

Do you have a wife? Does she know you spend all night correcting innocent children's grammar? I for one think that is sad, sad, sad.

On another note, Turtlegirl933, I am terribly sorry for the senseless hijacking of your thread. I would also like to wish you and your family a very merry Christmas.
And as for my bedtime, I like to live on the wild side.
=)

AHHHHH, the youth of America. How refreshing it is to see all of these younger people getting into this aquarium stuff in this age of high tech internet/complicated computer games/myspace/etc. Such a basic, down to earth, wholesome interest, this tropical fish/coral stuff. Restores faith in the younger generation. Merry Christmas to all of you, and you can spellthatanywayUwant2.
