My LFS told me that some types of Calupera(spelling?) is poisionous to some corals. If so what are the specific effects? I need to know because I have some in my sump that I use for water quality.
I have never had problems either but was just wondering if there was anything to be concerned about. LFS said when you cut the caulerpa that milky stuff that comes out is toxic to stoney polyps.
I've never heard that, but,it could explain why some people advocate pulling it out by the roots rather than cutting it when they thin out their refugium. I've always cut it 1/2 way down.Never had a problem Anyone else??
