Gone sexual, trying to reproduce, releasing gamets into water colum...
Generally an indication of poor growing conditions, inadaquate light etc...
24/7 lighting can help as well as 4 watts + per gallon PC lighting...

thanks Squidd wondered about that. It's in my 175 fowlr but it was on the lr and has grown a lot the tangs don't eat it not sure why? I figured it would be good for nitrates so I left it be. I only have 260 w pc and only run about 8 hours a day so that would most likley be the reason.

I had problems with caulurpa going sexual when I ran std. lighting, RPD lighting and less than 4 watt/gallon...
Been three years since switching to fuge/ lighting 24/7 and no trouble since...

Get it out of there asap. It can starve your water of oxygen and lower your ph. I've never had it sporulate in my tank, but I've heard bad things.

Yeah, remove it. I think I've also read on this site that it will release nitrates into your water when it goes sexual.
