Camera Decision

I am looking for a camera that will take pictures close up and far away. I am going to be going on vacation in 3 weeks and will be going to a couple aquariums and want to take some macro pics and some far away pics. I am currently looking at these cameras.
Canon Rebel XT
Olympus sp 500uz
Olympus sp 350

I just bought the sp500 uv and i love it.does take some nice macro shots and a million setting. Cant help you on the other cameras though. WHere are you looking at for cameras.how much is the 500uv you were looking at if you dont mind me asking

IMHO the Nikon D70s is worth the extra $$$. I haven't used any of those in your list but tried several Canon Digital Elf's and Sony Digitals before upgrading to the digital SLR and I've never been happier with my picture quality.

I would go with the canon, because if you end up really enjoying photography and are looking for tack sharp images then you all set to hook up some of the best glass out there. The L lense

It's a toss up between the Canon Rebel XT or Olympus sp 500uz. Hard decision.
misfit i looking online and the cheapest i found is $248.00
