Camera People! I need advice...

I can get a Canon Digital Rebel EF-S 18-55 KIT for $380 bucks plus tax. It is 6.3 megapixels. Is this a good deal? Is this a good camera? If you have this camera or know anything about cameras please provide feedback. Thanks a ton!

where are you getting it from? that is very cheep for that camera...check it out before you buy it. generally, those kits go for roughly 700 brand new. at this price, it could have something wrong with it.
if everything checks out fine, get it quick. that's a bargain!

I have a friend that is a manager for a department store and this camera was bought and returned unopened. So it was discounted and he bought it with his discount on top of that and is willing to sell it to me. As long as I still have a warranty I suppose I will get it.
