I have noticed over the past several days that my Desjardinii Sailfin seems to be able to switch his color from a lighter color form to a very dark and bold one in a short period of time. I can sit and watch my tank and see him and he will appear a very light grey with the blue pigment behind his scalpels alo being a lighter form of blue. Than the next thing I know he is a beautiful dark grey color with all of the blue near his scalpels back..
Is this common, or is something up?
He is still pretty young so this may be a factor, and my tank parameters are as follows:
Ammonia = 0
Trites = 0
Trates = 0
pH = 8.2
I usually feed once a day, and am using a good variety of foods including a good amount of algae..
Thanks everyone
