I was wondering if a dogface puffer could even catch ich since its skin is poisonous. How bout in the gills? Don't have one yet but just wanted to know.
Of course i would not add anything if i did have an outbreak.
yes puffers are verry prone to ich.
Also puffer skin is not poisonous. it's a poison in their internal organs (liver or galblader i think) which is why you can touch them but not eat them.
yeah they can, however once acclimated, my dogface puffer is pretty much bullet proof, he hasn't caught ich in over 8 years and that is going thru alot of stressful situations ie high nitrates, loss of electricity a few times etc
