Can a foxface kill?

There was an article in the paper by me the other day that a 19 year old guy had to go to the E.R. Because he got stung ( spiked ) by a fox face so I think they are pretty much living up to their reputation...So I'm sure that if something tried to eat it, it would sting the other fish. Not 100% sure though as I don't have one, looking in to getting one though

absolutly worth gettin i can almost hand feed mine now
It depends on how alergic you are to their venom
some people its a wasp sting some people its deadly so best bet is dont take anychances
i dont recomend teaching them to hand feed
they begin to reconize your hand as food and working in the tank is getting a lil scary

they can kill other fish with their venom as killing people, it depends on if your body is allergic to the poison or not(its best not to even find out)

I had a foxface before and it killed my bicolor blenny which i had for a couple of years. It had a some 1 inch scratches on it when i found it dead. I have no rocks that could fall on it. No more foxface fish for me.

I have one and I hand feed him all the time and that's exactly why I asked 'cuz he follows me around during water changes. And I just found out first hand they they can try to kill open brain corals!! I just saw mine nip my green brain....I hope that was a one time thing.......

Yep, and if you think you can tell when a fish will strike, or that you're reflexes are good enough to pull your hand out in time you are mistaken.
For those of you fragging corals, take extreme precautions to avoid getting anything on your mouth or eyes.

I have a thoroughly domesticated lion fish who follows me around the tank hoping that I'll feed him, but I would never put my hand in the tank without wearing aquagloves. Even at that, I'm very careful to know exactly where he is at all times.
