Can a rose anemone sting a coral?

I have a rose anemone that was put in the tank about 3 weeks ago. It keeps moving around and hasn't found a happy place yet. 2 days ago it was next to my very large colt coral. Today the colt is melting away. All other corals are fine and my parameters are okay too. Do you think the rose anemone could have done this?

i'd say 100% probable it's the anenome. technically they are not reef safe because of this.

I think I will be pulling the rose out. I'm not sure how I'll do that based on the amount and size of rock in the tank. Thanks for the quick replies!

Run some carbon. I have a simular issue where my xenia/anemone/hammer go at each other. usually the hammer is the one that shows the first signs of issues. I run carbon for 3 days and all is better for about a month.

I already had carbon (chemi pure) in it. Thankfully all other corals look good and I pulled the remainder of the colt out and put him in a tank of his own to see if he'll get better.
Thanks!
