can a shroom survive a cycle?

i have a pico reef cycling right now with 2 pounds of new rock and about a half pound of rock from an already established tank. one of the rocks has two small mushrooms on it, will they survive a cycle?

I depends on the level of amonia and a few other factors. Most of the time, they do not survive.

They can survive small cycles. Since you are using live rocks from another tank they have a chance. Oh did you use any old water from the other tank. If so they will be ok.

Hmmm if anything could the indestructable shrooms will be the one to do it.

Use water changes to keep Ammonia below 0.5ppm and the mushrooms should do fine.
