I have had a tank for about 2 years. the hurricanes in the fall ruined my tanks and I had to restart my 44 gallon tank all over again. so I basically just redid all the water, waited 2 months for the cycle to go through with only damsles and then water was fine and added new fish. now ive added anenomes, fish, starfish, gorgonians etc...
however, its been about 6 months since I restartd everything, came home yesterday from work adn my tank is a bit cloudy. fish are acting fine. I cleaned all the filters again, tank is still cloudy this am. fish are still acting ok but im concerned. I dont want my tang or clowns to die through a cycle but dont knwo if its even a cycle or what else I should do. I havent added anything new in about 3 weeks so I cant imagine what it would be.
thanks for your help!

You need to give us a full range of water quality test (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, alkalinity, pH, calcium and specific gravity) as well as how you feed your tank - also water change schedule. Several things can cause tank cloudiness and it may have nothing to do with a cycling situation.

u have a tang in a 44 gallon? they should be in at least a four foot long tank. how many fish exactly are in this tank? it could be overcrowded, and ur filter and skimmer may not be keeping up with ur bio-load

Let's solve one problem before worrying about the tang... The problem is that we want to solve this and encourage people to ask for help. I don't want this to turn into a tang police thing before the problem is even solved. A water quality issue will kill a tang far sooner than a small tank will.
But it would be good to know, after the water quality, what sort of filtration and bioload is in the tank.
