hi all new to the site. i only have a v lion in my tank atm with 4 big hermit crabs. can i add a foxface without the 2 killing each other. the tank is a 72 gal bow. the lion is approx 4 inches. i asked the guys at my local fish store but they didnt know. kinda figured they wouldnt when i saw them feeding a lion some flakes. also when i asked about price of a small porc puffer since their was no price and i was told 100 dollars hehe. can a porc be kelt with any kinda of hermits, never tried it before. the hermits are about 1-2 inches wide. thanks

welcome to the boards! i have a v lion and a foxface in my 90 gallon and they get along fine. the puffer will probably eat the hermits and any other inverts in your tank though. also, $100 seems like a lot for a puffer...

as said the lion and fox will be fine , mine always got along but 90 gallon is small for the v. lion and the fox the lion will outgrow it pretty quick..

IMO, V. Lions get a bad rap. They usually won't bother anything they can't swallow. Their flowing fins are more often the target of triggers, some puffers, even damsels. Also. Small Porc puffers are one of the least expensive fish available.

I'm not sure about V. lions but I have a Fuzzy dwarf lion and a foxface in my 150G tank and they seem just fine. The other fish in my tank seem to know to givve the lion its space. When I got my porc puffer about a year and a half ago I think I only paid about $20-$30 for him at about 2 inches.

AMEN to that!I kept a V. Lion in my 90gal Reef, didn't kill a thing. He even let a cleaner ship clean him. Went to get a camera but was done by the time I found one.
