Ok so I have a pair of Green BTAs and they have been a bright green with a light brown color for a long time. Yesterday I noticed that one of them changed to a lighter green and look like the tenticles are see through more than normal and this morning they are both lighter than they have been. After looking closer we can see small black spots inside some of the tenticles that are floating around. Not sure if the spots are normal or not but the color change has me worried. I did water checks and nitrates, nitrites, amonia are at 0 and my ph is normal. and nothing else has changed in the tank for some time and i fed them yesterday like i normally do and they ate it. I have all my fish in a QT tank atm because of ich so not sure if that would bother them.
Here is a pic i got of them

If you need a full pic of the anemones i can try and get one. The problem is they decided to move to the back of my rocks.

What color green was the nem when you bought it? I am thinking you possibly bought a sebae and since there are tannish, the nem maybe is changing to his true color. The previous owner may have physically injected green dye into the anemone to make it seem rare.

Im almost 100% sure its a bubble tip. I have had it now for 5 years and it had the typical bubble tips when I got it and did for the first year or two. The color has been the same since the start. also the foot is a redish color Here are the pics of it from before the change.

Yeah thats a GBTA. Sorry, its just sebaes are bleached different colors so often, I thought yours might have been another. I think if its feeding, the nem should be fine. Just keep an eye on him and if something weird happens, tell me.

The tentacles that you point to as being lighter......they look shorter too......is it possible they are new growth????

I dont think its from new growth because yesterday they looked normal. They did split around the first week in January into 3 and then we moved them to this120 from a 30 gallon tank 1 month later. One of the 3 decided a couple weeks ago to commit suicide and jump into one of my powerheads and was completely destroyed. One of the two that are left went into a powerhead a week ago but we found it right after it got on it and was doing great, the only way to tell which one did it is its tenticles are alot shorter than the other ones. They both do look like their tenticles are getting shorter and im not sure if it is from improved water quality from the 30 and/or the light is alot better on this tank now or if the flow is better or a combination of all the things.
im not that worried about the spots but my wife is. I was worried about the color more.

How were they acclimated to the better lights?

The old lights I had were pc lights that I didnt find out till after I had this anemone that they wouldnt support a nem. The new tank has a home made led light on it with 72 white and blue lights and 6 reds and 6 greens. I started the lights out turned down to 150mA because i was afraid of burning them. and after a week or two turned them up to 350mA and then 2 weeks and then up to 450mA and then up to 600mA and then 850mA.
One of the two that are left had been staying in the same place since we first put them in and the other two moved around the whole tank finding a few places they liked for a week and then moving again.
