can anenomes emit slime

i have a theory that my anenome is pumping out slime every time that it opens and close. I also think that this slime is affecting my corals. Does this seem reasonable or evenly possible????

no but my other corals close soon after my anenome shrinks up

Does the time the anemone shrinks up have anything to do with the lights turning off?

What type of anemone are we talking about and how often and what do you feed it?
Does the system have a skimmer or are you running carbon?
Are there any other aggressive corals in the tank?
