ID Please?
They don't move and they are multiplying. It is a colony of sorts with each one about the thickness of a human hair and about an eighth of an inch tall. They are pinkesh with fine tendrials.
I don't want to question your call, but I did a search on the forums for hydroids and they look nothing like these. In fact there is a small feather duster growing in with them.
There are different kinds I think. But I'm by no means an expert. I know I see pictures of that exact critter a lot though. Search through some hitchhiker threads. The hydroid I had in my tank looked kinda similar to those and it stung the heck out of my zoanthids.
I took the rock out it was on and broke it off with some needlenose pliers. Grabbed a nice sized chunk of the rock too in case it had any kind of roots.
