Can anyone tell me what this is?. they are growing on the inside of my refugium. They look like they are all connected by a thin line. They are about 1/32-1/16 inch. Are they good or bad? They seem to be growing larger and in population. I also have this small 1/2 inch hitchhiker (clam??) Can anyone identify it?

Colonial Hydroids.
The clam looks at first glance to be a very young Tuyrkey-Wing Clam. Take another pic of it next year...

Thanx for coming in Guy. So they are hydroids but I was thrown off by the runner, is it part of the critter or something else that they have taken a shine to?

It's part of the colony.
My recomendation is using a turkey baster and squirt boiling water on them. If you can take the rock out of the water a blowtorch is even more effective. These are NOT a good thing IMO.
