I went to ***** last night and there was a guy who had no idea what he was doing and sold me this thing as leather coral, I don't think it's leather coral.
I don't think I paid to much, I only spent $29.99 on this thing and its absolutely beautiful.
I just want to know what it is, so I can buy more.
I can't find anything like it in the store on this website.

If anyone can identify this I would really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

Well usually your LFS can order them. Don't expect that kind of a price though. First off you should really evaluate if your tank is capable of keeping SPS coral, lighting water quality etc. Don't know anything about you or your tank except you have 3 posts on this site, so I am assuming you are a new person to the hobby, hence my discussion about your tank and it's capabilities.

The worms inside the rock are relatively easy to care for, they are filter feeders but the porites (coral) part requires very strong lighting like MH or very good T5's.
That's a good price!

Okay, first thanks for the replies.
I love advice as I am no pro in salt water tanks.
I setup my first salt water tank about a year ago.
It was a 55 gallon which I no longer have.
I currently have a 75 gallon tank with a refugium setup.
I have one of these:

Then another that is just bigger bulbs.
I believe those are t5's.
Both lights have double bulbs.
In my refugium I have a heater and a protein skimmer.
I have a deep sand bed of 5 inches, I believe its about 350 lbs of live sand.
I also have about 75 lbs of live rock.
I want to focus more on things like I posted above.
I will take pictures tomorrow and post exact details of my equiptment.
My levels are good as far as I know.
Nitrate, Amonia and Nitrite are all 0.
My pH is 8 and my temp stays at 80 degrees all the time.
My salt level is right in between the red I will post tomorrow or later tonight the exact numbers.
Again, I am not a professional I am just trying to do my best.
I do want to focus on more live rock with things growing all over the place.
I love the hobby, it just relaxes me.
Thanks again.

Also, you guys seem to know quite a bit, what is the best t5 bulbs to get. My tank has a canopy at the top so it would have to fit, its pretty big though. If you could tell me the best place to get the best bulbs, I would appreciate it.

Should I make this post somewhere else?
I can order the t5 lighting I need or any other equiptment I need today so my little rock wont die.
I have to take my truck to the dealership but when I get back I am going to take pictures and list details of my equipment I have now.
Thanks again.

That looks like standard T5 socket lighting, not T5HO, which is what you would need. You should double check the model number, etc. Porites will require high output lighting like T5HO or MH.

Thanks for the reply.
Can you recommend one good big unit with the T5HO since from reading they look the best.
I want the best environment for my tank.
I cant stand for anything I buy to die.
Not about the money either, I just feel bad.
I can replace both of those lights with one big T5 which I am googleing for now.
I would like to know what the best kind is.
From what I can see those things are pretty expensive and I dont want to get the wrong thing if you know what I mean.
Thanks again!
