Can anyone identify this?

This little "flower" is growing out of the shell of my astrea snail. It opens and closes to light... Does anyone have an idea of what this might be??

Just a mini feather duster... strange place for it to grow though.

Those feather dusters will pop up everywhere and in the strangest places - they are alot of fun to watch.

I agree, just a harmless little featherduster. Great picture, by the way.

You know what....you just did me a big favor. I have those popping up on a couple rocks. I first thought they were aptasia but when I got close to the glass and looked at it they go back inside their holes. They look EXACTLY like that so you solved my problem and I didn't have to start a thread. Thanks!
