Can Blue Tangs be in Pairs?

i was thinking of getting some blue tang but i was only going to get one but was wondering if they could be in pairs??
Can they?

More than one Blue tang requires a very large tank. I don't believe a 50 gallon is large enough for even one.

Well, sorta, i am looking forfish that swim around the tank and make it look beautiful, but i still want to keep the shrimp. BUT all the good looking fish are all agressive. so yea
