OK I know technology has changed and some saltwater fish can be bred in captivity. My question is a serious one cause I have a friend of mines in Cali that is saying he knows a guy selling a true mated pair of Hawaiian Dragon Eels:help: ???????? I would buy them cause that is my favorite eel and would love to get them to breed in my tank or I would setup something to stimulate breeding them. Please if any one has any info please let me in on the secret

the chances of hawaiian dragon eels breeding is close to never. They live at 30+ feet where they breed in open oceans and HUGE coral reefs. They probably are a true mated pair, but breeding will most likely never happen. I also love those eels and am getting one when i set up a bigger tank. After seeing them in hawaii i fell in love. But for breeding i'd say buy them for the looks and great eels, but breeding wont happen.
Good luck
