Neither of my eels have ever bothered my stars, but they're in tanks with enough sand that they stay under the substrate 95% of the time. So I don't think it's like my star has ever climbed up on my eel's mouth, which he might mind.:yes:
I wouldn't worry about the starfish...but I'd DEFINATELY worry about the tang in the pic with the tesselata!!!!! Trouble is on the horizon. Nice eel, though!
I agree. Chainlink eel is in the Echidna genus, whose members are mainly crustacean eaters (especially crabs) in the wild. They do not even bother echinoderms like starfish both in the wild and captivity. Brittle starfish would make a nice addition to your scavenger crew.
