can holy rock turn into live rock

I am asking because I am thinking of buying a huge holy rock that has been in a saltwater tank for five years. She says it ids live

Yes. If it's been in a tank for a long time and has stuff growing on it, it would be considered live rock.

I've had a piece in mine since i started up. I used it as a piece base rock and buried it under live rock, i personally think it's to dense to become live as some of the porous rock that we use,but it's full of holes so i figured the fish and inverts might get some use of it.
