I have a 140 show tank and have about 170lbs of deco rock. I have 3 yellow tangs, 1 purple and 1 blonde naso. I want a Achilles Tang but can it be added as long as its bigger or smaller or should I just put it in another tank?

I would say it would be ok ,as long as it will be the last tang. And from what I hear they are very difficult to keep.

it can be done but they are very hard to keep. you will have a better chance getting a healthy on if you get it from saltwaterfish. and plus you get the guarantee. i would suggest you do that.
goodluck and tell me how it does because i was thinking about ordering one.

i would strongly suggest you don't, if they are very hard to take care of and usually come down with ick and die. if you do try to keep one, everything i've read about them says they come from an oxygen rich environment so keep the bubbles on the powerheads goin full blast.

Bigger? Smaller? I know about health issues I was wanting to know about compatablity. Would the other tangs beat up on it?

I'm no expert, but I did stay at the Holiday Inn Express last night. Honestly, 5 tangs, one of wich gets very large, in a 140 show is already pushing it.

Should be fine with the other tangs, but you might notice one of the yellows might become alittle aggressive, as well as the purple.... I would recommend when you get him that he goes right to quarantine.....Just because the LFS has had him or whatever, they don't take to kindly to being transported and might be enough to give him an outbreak.....

I'd advise against adding this fish. Your tank is not suited to keeping multiple active open water fish. The naso alone will outgrow the system. Achilles are difficult to keep and need very large systems with lots (read LOTS) of high flow. Aggression issues aside, and you could see them, IMO it's not a good move.
