unfortunately my walmart doesn't have that machine...
i called a few FS's but most don't have RO...i'm gonna have to take a nice drive to get it for $.50...i guess it'll be worth it though.
i retested my ammonia w/ my old kit and it's starting to look good...
both kits are saying less than .25, but not quite 0
nitrites .05
things are finally lookin better
Woody, have you checked your local grocery stores? Many of them have a RO or RO/DI machine from which you can also purchase the water. Just a thought.

Yea, i know about the water top offs....The reason I topped off my tank w/ SW was because of the skimmer leak, and siphoning. My salinty was good, not high, so I added SW. If it was from evaporation, i would have added FW. thanks for the conern though
I haven't once seen one of these machines in my life. Maybe I just overlooked them, but i've been living here my whole life. I think i'm just gonna spend the extra $.20/ gallon and get it from the fish store. I'll just stock up. It's really not that expenisve, especially considering the fact i my tank is already full... IN the mean time, i'll keep my eyes open for one.
i live in jersey(just across from NY) if that makes any difference...i emailed walmart asking where a walmart is that would have 1, and they were useless and said that each Walmart's stock varies by the customer's needs or some crap.
Pathmark,Shoprite, stop n shop....none of these grocery stores would have them right??? only like local shops?

I would check with the grocery stores. Our Albertsons and Safeway both have these units, and we live in nowhereville Wyoming!

Are you sure your Walmart doesn't have a culligan machine up front? I have yet to see one around here that doesn't. Stop n shop does as well. It is about .25 a gallon.

No albertson's or safeway's here.
I'm not sure about my walmart, but i called them and she said they don't have them...first she was just like "HUH". then i explained it's a like vending machine that allows customers to dispense their own water into their own buckets and i told her that i know a lot of walmarts have them...she said not that one.
I'll be sure to check stop n shop. ..i re-emailed walmart telling them their answer was useless, let's see what they say.
what exactly is it anyway??? like giant vending machine looking thing with a nozzle that you place your container under that just drips out water?? kinda like a water cooler?? Would i know it when i see it?

Yes, you would know it when you see it. It is a tall machine with a spout. I can't find a picture of one. They are usually up in the front of the store.
