I have a foxface in qt right now and it is just LOVING the algae sheets I give it.
I also have a lot of algae on the rocks in my dt. I am wondering I i can take a rock( bout the size of a softball) and put it in the qt for the foxface to eat?
What are the repercussions of this?

It's ok if you leave it in the QT and don't have to medicate, but if the new foxface is sick and you put the rock back into the DT from the QT you could bring germs with it

what keri said, and as long as the fish is not going through hypo because the lack of salinity will kill life on the live rock
