i was planning on getting a dwarf lion and a blue throat trigger to go with my snowflake eel, but i have found out that the eel is actually a jeweled moray (aka mexican dragon)...i have heard that they are more aggressive than sfe's...
the question is will a jeweled moray (approx 15-16") attack a lion or trigger???

Yes these tank mates would be excellent, just make sure the fish are big enough to not get eaten. If they are small your eel will have a nice seafood dinner. ;)

No, I haven't cool eels though. I've seen a couple at my lfs, and one was with a male blue jaw trigger(the eel was about 13 in. and the trigger was about 4 or 5 in.). I don't think an eel would mess around with a lionfish though (unless there like 2 in.), if I were you i'd get a 4 or 5 in. Male blue jaw trigger, and a radiata, antenata, or dwarf. Make sure the lion is about 5 or 6 in. The lion should be bigger then the trigger, because sometimes lions are used as a "chew toy" with triggers. But I wouldn't worry about that since male blue jaws are docile triggers. Good Luck.

O! Hears some information about your Jeweled eel. Your eel, the Muraena lentiginosa (Jeweled Moray eel)grows up to 60 inches. Your eel prefers a tank of at least 200 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim(Seems like you will have to get a bigger tank in the future:-(). The Muraena lentiginosa is a carnivore and likes to eat meaty treats (like live feeder fish, fiddler crabs, small fish & grass shrimp). The Jeweled Eel is a low maintenance fish and may act semi-aggressively toward other fish. Your eel is not reef-safe. It will eat other crabs, fish & eels. Grows to 5 ft. Keep your water quality high (SG 1.020 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 72 - 78° F). Your eel is commonly collected from Central America
