can i have a sea horse in my tank?

Nope. They do best in species only tanks. My seahorse gets very nervous around fish, and they are slow eaters and can't compete with the fish for food.

Alyssia got this one right on.
As stated, seahorses need to be kept in a tank by themselves. Even a clownfish is too competitive and aggressive for them to handle.
The only things that are really okay in a seahorse tank are extremely peaceful and slow eating animals like mandarins and pipefish.
