Can I mix clowns?

I have one of those regular clowns with no name labeled on it at the pet store.. I got it for about 15.00
Can I mix clowns? Cause I saw one labeled "true black clown" for 50.00

ok first off make sure you found out what it is. it's probably a false or true percula. can you get a pic for verification?
and no, it's not safe to mix clowns. most will eb aggressive to other species.
and don't buy something with no name or especially if itt just says "big black one". find out what they are and research them.

Don't mix clowns... You will most likely end up with one or both dead.

OK, BTW, it was the false... cause they just ordered true, and mine looks alot duller...lol

You do not want to mix different species of clown fish, and you cerntainly don't want more than 2 same kind of clown fish. Of course, if you want to observe how they fight for the territory to death...
