Hey guys ! Hope all is well ! I have my 175 running for about a year. I have a Wet/Dry Sump/Refugium with a UV and a skimmer.I have about 200 lbs of live rock. My tank is 6ft long. For a stocklist, I have a 4in Naso, 3in Orbit bat and two perculas.I was wondering if I can add a 6in Queen, I seen at my local LFS. I am not planning on upgrading anytime soon and would like to add a yellow and blue tang and a gold puffer maybe over the summer. Any help would be great, thanks

Too many big fish. The angel will grow to well over a foot as will the bat and naso. Adding yet more potentially large fish (blue tang and puffer) and you're severely limiting the amount of real estate in the tank. Crowding=stress=aggression=illness/immune system depression. All of these fish coupled with that much rock and I think the tank is going to become pretty small. I wouldn't do it. If no upgrade is planned in the forseeable future, I'd look at some smaller species of fish.

So even if I remove some rock on the top, to make more room and put it into the refugium and also eliminate the puffer-?
Will that work to get the Queen-?

I would say eliminate the puffer and go for it. Beware the queens will be very aggressive so you may want to get one smaller than what you have in there now.

Sounds good, thank you

My sense is you'll keep fishing for the answer you're looking for. Ultimately you'll have a tank with three huge fish jockeying for limited space. I foresee problems long term but it's your tank and you'll do what you want.

Hey Nicetry ! I 'm not looking for the right answer. I just would like some opinions before I make a mistake. But I'll just get the Queen and thats it. Thanks man

I think you should be able to get by with it.....most def watch aggression but every fish has there own attitude....so its kinda always a trial thing.

Get the Queen if you already haven't. You have plenty of room for it. It won't grow too fast and by the time it does, maybe you'll be ready to upgrade! :) MAKE SURE YOU SEND PICTURES OF HER MAJESTY!

i feel the bigger issue up front is wanting to add other fish after the queen. whether it will out grow the tank is a matter of opinion and a decent period of time (while a 14" plus in the wild in our tanks its usually max 10-12") that said they fall into the catigory of last fish in the tank (their cousin the passer is the same thing). it will probably bully or pick anything u try to add after to death.

Wow. You do pick up a good point. Hmm...... what should I do-?
I do want to get a yellow and blue tang, but I don't know how long my LFS can hold the Queen. I don't want too add all three at the same time, cuz that will cause too much bio-load-?

That is true. But I've been a customer with my LFS for 15 years. So I just wanted to stay loyal
. Plus I get to check the fish real good, before purchase.
