Ok I know that you can't put different kinds of clowns together but read you can put the same kind of the black and white and orange to white together. I have an oscellaris, going to get another to replace the one that the chromis killed. The IFs has the black and white oscellaris in now too. They are all real small now, can I do this in a 170g tank?
Also what are foxfaces like in a communtiy tank? I've read they're ok but want to hear from experence. I'm nervous because of the posion.
Oh and Mandarin Dragonet - Green How are they?
I think thats my wish list for now. I won't be putting them all in at once.
Right now I have
1 Sailfin Tang - Desjardinii
1 Yellow Tang (rather peaceful for a yellow)
1 Long Nose Butterfly
1 3 Stripe Damsel
1 Chromis(thats going to be gone, I've named it Evil *lol*)
1 Scooter Dragonette
1 Diamond Goby
1 Oscellaris Clown
CUC of Mexican Turbos(7), crieth snail(9+babies), nass snails(3), hermits(18) and 1 starfish

do you have alot of copepods? You already have a dragonet that eats them so hopefully you have more than enough for both. If you get the pschydelic mandarin they are more green than the other one. I would say you could try the clowns, some people have had success with the color varients working together.

There's ton of copepods I can see the little white guys everywhere. Can I still seed the tank though to ensure they would be enough for both? If so do IFs carry them?
I do want to add more live rock at somepoint.

I've read places that you shouldn't put dragonets that have the same body shape together. I have no expeareance, just my input. Anyone else know?

Well I picked up another normal Oscellaris Clown and a black and white Oscellaris Clown. I had the light out all day and put a bed sheet over the tank until after dark. This morning all three are swimming together peacefully. I was hoping the oranges would pair up, didn't expect all three to hang together in a 170g tank. Maybe when they mature they'll break off.

Two will probably pair up and the other will be the odd man out. You are going to see some real aggression as they vie for dominance here so don't be too alarmed when it starts. Usually just ends up that everyone gets in tune with the pecking order but it is not out of the question that one may get bullied to death.

I think there's enough room for the 3 to live peacefully. I hope anyway.

with a 170 gal tank couldn't you get 1 more oc perc to have two pairs or would that make it worse?

i have a scribbled rabbitfish, same family as the foxface, have never had any problems with it, swims around with my tangs, hes never come close enough to me to spike me with his spine's, so i dont think you need to worry.

I was going to but the black and whites are actually more $ then the orange and whites. I didn't realise that and didn't bring enough cash with me.
The new orange and whites actally missing right now. I hope its ok I went to put up a thin rock that had slid down and move another while I was at it and by mistake bumped anothe peice and it fell down
