Maybe I just got luck but I had 3 on a red sea wavemaker for over a year with no issues. I just swithed to an Aquacontroller JR

I have Maxijets on mine. They all have the Mod kit, but beware, I tried both mod kit brands and one of them fell apart at least twice a day while the other works like a charm!
The one that works is in a purple box, but of course I can't remember the name.

I have the red sea as well
