Can I / Should I make the move to LED?

My FOWLR (with some mushrooms) tank is 110 gal and last I tried LED it did not penetrate to the sand. I understand technology has improved. I currently have 4 T5 each of actinic and 10,000K white at 39W each - 8 total bulbs. I've replaced them each year and would love to make the move to LED.

Would also be great to see my sparse soft coral collection to do better.

paying nearly 200 a year in light bulbs and a lot of energy use per day... I know it has to be hitting your pocket book kind of hard andnot seeing the results that you want.

on a budget, reefbreeder LEDs pack a serious punch. if you have a 110g tall, I know how frustrating it is to get enough light to the bottom of the tank. I owned both a 90g and a 110g tall... good thing is that reefbreeders makes a photon 48" unit that will suit your needs.

good luck my friend, and stick around. post some pictures of your tank. welcome back to the forums.
