Can I swap my light fan to the other side?

My Aqualight Elite MH fixture was just deliverd today (wow it is HUGE compared to my old current usa CF fixture!). I unboxed it and took a quick look and it 'seems' that I can easily switch the fan from the one side to the other (bold patterns seem to match up from side to side along with the opening size), I might have to lengthen the wire (I will know more when I open it up). Has anyone does this on any fixture? Just curious if it is a common thing to do or if I am attemping a 1st here?
The reason I NEED to switch is because one side of the light will be about 1/2" - 1" from the side of a wall. The exhaust from this system (i can imagine) is going to hot and I do not think it will get the proper ventalation it needs to stay cool and be safe. If I switch the fan to the other side the air will be pushed out into an open room, pulling air in near the wall will be a lot easier than having to push air out against it. My current light is set up to blow against the wall but it does not create much heat.
Thanks!

Nevermind! I hooked up the system and it is reverse of my old one, it actually pulls air into the fan from that side, it does not use it an ehaust so I am set and happy I dont have to do the mod. However, I did look and it would have been simple to do it incase anyone else every thought of it.
Wow, it is B-R-I-G-H-T compared to my old one! Now I just have to wait to get my hanging kit on Monday, which should have here mid week, but that is another story!
