Yes, you can. You want to get the brand Old Castle or Yard Right. Use the search feature on here and you can find some more info about it.

In the past, the brand aquarists used was 'Southdown Play Sand'. The bag says that it comes from the caribbean. However, people have not seen a new bag of this stuff for few years now. The company might not be making them anymore.
Southdown is argonite based and not silicate based sand.

You can just get some bags from home depot and clean it yourself.
All you need to do is run water through it for about 24 hours.
It should go from that yellow almost to a white.
You can also get prewashed certified sand from a good rock dealer or earth quarry site. Some of the stuff I used to deal with on the golf course (or go to a golf course at sunset with a few buckets and take some of their sand) was superb quality... some sucked.. it depended on who we got it from. One time we got some with peices of glass in it... the golfers ernt impressed!.
