Can lawnmowers go with puffers...

I have a porcupine puffer (he is awesome) and he leaves a huge mess after eating. I was looking for a fish to clean his mess up of the bottom. I was thinking of a lawnmover but they just feed on algae correct??? If anyone has suggestions please post...Thank you and keep on Fishin'

I would highly suggest that you never place a lawnmover in your aquarium. I have a Craftsman lawnmover that I bought at Sears back in 1984 for about $89.00! It is probably about 5 ft. long (that estimate includes the handles) so first off you would have to have a huge aquarium for it to fit, like probably a 1200 gallon one. But you see this isn't really my concern you see, placing the lawnmover into your aquarium causes many risks. Is your lawnmover electric? Because electricity and water are a no-no. If it is gas then it may disrupt your water purity and balances. Plus have you thought about what it would do to your fish inside when you turn it on? Deyoe757 I would seriously think twice about it before you do it.

no, lawnmower bleeny is not 12 ft long, he is small and eat algae.

a good welllll established pod population would have helped, which could be had in a dsb or with plenty of lr, an da detrivore kit, but now is not a good time to add them, chances are tthey would get eaten before they could do a thing, and yes, lawnmowers only eat algae, no tdetritus, maybe some crabs and or shrimp, but they too may have a prob with the puffer being in there
best i can reccomend off the top of my head, is add some lr(well cured), the pods on it may survive, being as tehy would hav cover and shelter from the start, but adding them any other way, they would probably get eaten before they could get shelter

hey deyoe757 where do you live in northern KY. do you ever go to house of tropicals in cincinnati? if not go there and check it out, what a place to get fish and advice.
