Cloudy eye is a sign of a bacteria infection. Could be caused by a parasite or poor water quality. What are your paramenters at? Is there any ammonia, nitrite,or nitrates present? In my opinion garlic will help, but it has to be true garlic, dont use the Kents garlic extract or something of that nature. I would immediatly check all of the water paramters and if something seems out of whack a little do a 10% water change. As far as parasites go, I am not very familiar with but I am sure someone will come along that can better help with that. You might be able to find some info searching the forums, fresh water dips, hyposalinity, and even some medicines I have heard of working great, though you will be in need of a quarantine tank for most all of those. Good luck.

I think a mirror can stress a fish that wiould fight with one of it's own species. It see's it's reflection and displays to bluff the other fish, only the other fish wont back down so it gets more aggresion. Just my opinion, I have no proof to back it up.

No, you need to go to your grocer and get fresh garlic.

Skimmer should help reduce the waste in your water, and the two water changes one today and one tuesday should be fine. Also, yes if your home water has nitrate in it you wont be able to use it. Have you tested your homewater for everything? Nitrates? ammonia? chlorine/chloramine? Phosphates? This very well could be the source of your troubles. Are you on city water or well water? If you have city water then its going to have chlorine or chloramine in it which means if you havent been treating it, its in your tank which will kill off fish and even the bacteria in your rock. There is additives you can buy that will neutrilize the chlorine/chloramine if thats something you have.

I think that the urchin is the sump model. I think that you want the AquaC Remora.

I could definately see a mirror could be stressful if it is a fish that would fisght it's own species. Like My way previously said. Take a betta for instance many people will hold a mirror by the tank to bring out the flaring beauty in the fish, but if a mirror is mleft by the tank all the time this could stress him very much so.

are you using a mirror as a background, i'm confused. this wouldn't cause an eye infection.

If the fish is being stressed due to the mirror then it could make it more prone to infections and parasites. So in a round about way it could be contributing to the problem.
P.S: Sebae I live about 10 mins from Lincolnton, ever go to Underwaterworld?
